As a professional association, Belgaqua gathers the 3 regional associations of the water sector in Belgium : AquaBru for Brussels, AquaFlanders for Flanders and AQUAWAL for Wallonia.
The 3 regional associations represent their members, the water companies active in those geographies.
For Wallonia, AQUAWAL, the professional federation of public water cycle operators brings together the main producers and distributors of drinking water, as well as the various sanitation players that are the Société Publique de Gestion de l'Eau and Approved Sanitation Organizations.
AquaFlanders vzw gathers the water and sewer managing companies in Flanders.
AquaBru vzw brings together the members, companies and institutions, of the water cycle in Brussels.
Belgaqua collaborates with the Belgian Committee of the International Water Association (B-IWA) : www.biwa.be
Belgaqua promotes the societal interests of its members at the levels of the Belgian federal state, Europe and internationally.
Through the database of compliance towards EN1717 norm, the yearly directory and the list of approved materials in contact with drinking water, Belgaqua provides the local water companies together with the professionals of the sector with tools to support the required certifications across Belgium.
